Quick guide for a visit to Osian Desert

If you wish to see the sheeny sand sliding from your wrist, explore the silence of the desert and the dunes in a less commercial location, Osian Desert is for you.

Located on the Jodhpur-Jaisalmer Highway, the Osian Desert is at a distance of ~60km from the Jodhpur railway station. The best season to visit is October-February.

The journey begins with the Osiyan Mata Temple, the goddess of beauty.

Be ready with proper clothing as the temperature falls to 8^○C at night and it feels extremely hot during the day.

The prices are affordable to experience the extreme of the desert. It is better if you have a big friends group for an adventurous safari or if you can club with others and bargain well. Don't forget to go for a long safari and enjoy the dunes (they are the actual sand dunes). Can get it for as little as 1500/person. They have 2 variations, Dunes Safari, which is a basic trip from the farms to the sunset point, and the long safari, which is the safari to the dune, where they will give you a rollercoaster kind of ride of the naturally formed dunes.

The trip can be completed in 12hrs to 24hrs, but don't forget, if you need the best out of any trip you have to give it some time, let your experience flourish with the atmosphere. Try all 3 meals of the day - Yummy breakfast, Mouthwatering lunch, and Hot dinner in the cold desert under the open sky.
